Check these out! A series of breathtaking images from photographer George Christakis.
I stumbled across these amazingly breathtaking images from George Christakis the other day whilst browsing various blogs. The 24 year old is amazingly talented as I’m sure you can see. George says he takes most of his inspiration from music and uses both digital photographs as well as painting elements. I’d love to know what sort of music George listens to, his images are both colourful and vividly surreal, at times you can sense just a hint of craziness in there too. See more: goo.gl/3fSE8
Anyone who knows me well, knows that this is the stuff that makes me happy.
Like the legend of the phoenix All ends with beginnings What keeps the planet spinning The force from the beginning [Hook: Pharrell] We’ve come too far To give up who we are So let’s raise the bar And our cups to the stars She’s up all night ‘til the sun I’m up all night to get some She’s up all night for good fun I’m up all night to get lucky We’re up all night ‘til the sun We’re up all night to get someWe’re up all night for good fun We’re up all night to get lucky (x5)
Ped- I mean Lollyphile… That’s the name of a new “Breast Milk” flavoured lollipop.
Yes, you read that right. Jason Darling is the creator of a new lollipop geared towards children, mainly those whose mothers suffer from lactose suppression and hence cannot breastfeed. Great idea I guess, but somehow I think the name needs a bit of a tweak! The manufacturer is also responsible for the more appetising sounding flavours; Absinthe, Bourbon, Bacon and Wasabi. Mount Hunagshan, more amazing than words can describe. Just take a look at the photos!
Somewhere I would soon love to visit. Mount Huangshan, located in southern Anhui provence in eastern China, was carved from glaciers over 100 million years ago. Yes, from glaciers. The mountain range was once part of an ancient sea bed and was uplifted during the Mesozoic era. Well and truly the first thing on my to-do list when I step off that plane. Read More:goo.gl/h9ntZ
So here we have a lowly old giraffe, just minding his own business and taking a swim in a swimming pool.
Strange right? Well apparently not for the visitors of this golf club in Tanzania, who have a resident Giraffe by the name of Monduli. Often seeking water to drink, Monduli just can’t help himself and feels that all too familiar urge to just jump in! I love Giraffes, sharing a pool with one though… I don’t see that ending well for all parties involved.

View of the crowd at the March on Washington, August 1963 where Martin Luther King, Jr gave his “I Have A Dream” speech.
Martin Luther King, Jr was an amazing man. During his well lived lifetime he received at least 50 honorary degrees from colleges and universities as well as a Nobel Peace prize for leading non-violent resistance to racial prejudice in the U.S. We definitely need more people like this man in our world. Golden Bay is an idyllic, placid bay located on the northern end of New Zealand’s South Island. Historically the bay was named Moordenaar’s Bay (Murderer’s Bay), following a bloody encounter with the local Maori people in 1642 when it was first discovered by Dutch explorer Abel Tasman. Personally, I think it’s current name is more suited! See more: goo.gl/YgIjz
Have you ever seen anything as strange and freakish as this?
This strange looking fish is what’s known as the Deep Sea Hatchetfish. Found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans this fish is also known as the “fish that will eat your soul”. Very appropriate if you ask me!
